Artist Statement

Mass-produced fabrics are often visually uninteresting, and often discarded. To counter this trend,

I have gone through labor-intensive ways to transform some existing patterns of fabric into something far more visually exciting. I wanted to make something that a person would find more precious or interesting in these wearable garments. My intention was to bring forth earned value from a single piece of clothing instead of discarding it out of boredom as quickly as one would a mass-produced item.
